My name’s Jeremy. I am a seminarian in the Episcopal Church and college professor who writes about what I call “Controlled Burns” — the ideas, practices, stories, and gatherings around what it means to create magical, transformative bonfire experiences — and the cosmic nature of Christ and community.

Even my central image – fire – is not new. Phoenixes have risen from ashes for quite some time. What’s more, if I’m fuel for the bonfires I’ll describe later on, I’m still burning. But here we are. We might as well grab a beer and cook some hotdogs.

Your subscription supports the writing and my work in ministry and as an artist, teacher, and human out there in the universe.
